Fleet Management Training

The workshop was organized by Katalemwa Cheshire Home in partnership with MIVA for small to medium sized organizations. The main objective was to improve fleet management practices within the organizations and provide skills on how transport means link to organization strategies. The training, on the 3rd and 4th of July 2023, was conducted at Eureka Place Hotel Ntinda. And attended by transport officers (fleet managers) and drivers.

The focus was:

To link fleet management and organizational objectives,
To produce key performance indicators,
To collect information and reporting for decision-making,
To collect documentation and total cost of ownership,
on maintenance as well as on incidences and crashes.

Skilling Youth

Mixing organic manure & soil in the containers along the velander

Due to unemployment and population growth DFK started youth recruitment program to train them practical, hands on skills for self-reliance and wealth creation that include:-

Small scale crop- livestock farming innovations
Animal health, nutrition and milk value addition
Integrated management and soil fertilization
Marketing strategies to increase household income

At the end of the training participants are able to start their own small enterprises and offer farmer to farmer extension services.
